Should Christians ever go to court?

Paul is concern the health and life of the church at Corinth.  

I'm sure you have heard it said in the world and in the church, "Do not judge!"

Matthew 7:1 is the passage the world knows best supporting "relative truth" arguments and our own comfort and ease with other people.  However, in 1 Corinthians Paul's teaching speaks for judging.  Believers are called to grow in wisdom and judgment.  And here in 1 Cor 5, Paul led by the Holy Spirit writes to the church at Corinth to insist on the church judging a man having sex with his father's wife.  

I hope you will find time to listen to all of this sermon.  It is not an easy message, but we, the Church are called to hear and follow the whole counsel of God. 

Humility or Arrogance?

Paul says, "we preach Christ crucified".  

What does that mean for you?   

Paul goes on to finish chapter 1 saying God is the source of your life, and ending with there is really no human boasting.  Boasting is only in the LORD.

How does this Cross help us understand these truths that transform.

What is the Power of the Cross?  How can we have unity and stay together for the mission of the Church.
